Koen Herfst is a versatile drummer, playing rock, metal, pop, hip hop and dance. He is known for his work with world renowned DJ, Armin van Buuren, death metal band I CHAOS, thrash metal band Dew-Scented and crossover band Bagga Bownz, amongst many other bands and projects. Playing on a professional level since he was 17, he has now played in more than 40 countries for audiences of 18 to 180,000. Readers of Dutch drum magazine "Slagwerkkrant" recently voted him the number one Rock/Metal drummer and number three "Drummer's Drummer". He finished a massive world tour with Armin van Buuren's "Armin Only" show  and recently released his debut solo album "BACK TO BALANCE". An album featuring 25 (!) amazing guest musicians, 14 tracks and over an hour of music. Some quotes about the album:

It’s like opening a box of chocolates without the little guide in it. You have no idea what you’re going to get next other than it’s got some amount of chocolate on it. All of the songs here are metal… but with something else. MOSHVILLE (UK)

The gathered talent, musicianship and songs make 'Back to Balance' a very accomplished album. 8/10 and #4 album of the month. AARDSCHOK (NL)
